Like some advice: Transferring stuff to new HD
Yes…finally I am upgrading my ol’ eMac external hard drive (oh, how many more times can I clean the 40 GB thing?) I’ve been running with only 4 GB of free space for a while and I gots a new 250 GB external HD in the mail today. (I remember our first computer had 20 MB of HD space).
So, my question is: what advice can you give me as I move stuff from one external HD to another? I’m especially interested in the whole iTunes library thing (yes I have purchased lots of stuff via the store and no not all of them are DRM free now). I do most of my mail via the web, so I don’t have to deal with those issues. Any suggestions of doing something besides clean installs of all my apps (I think I’ve got all my serial numbers).
