I had Mr. Noble for Algebra II and a Mechanical Drawing class which I'm sure he hated teaching and that only lasted a semester. Like him as a person, not crazy about him as a teacher, but then I was bad at math and lazy in high school, so that might have had something to do with it. Great blog!

Thanks for the nice words...and you taught for 10 years...I didn't know that. (Though I did know about the "center of attention" bit <g>).

I think I remember the dissecting thing...I _do_ remember having to put my head down for the birthing film...I almost had to do it again when we went through birthing classes for our first son (that is really tough footage to be exposed to as a teenage boy, you know?)

Which 1/2 marathon are you guys running in? Aren't you in Canada?

Peace,
Chris

What a great blog my friend Chris. Well spoken words. I taught school for 10 years before having my first son. I loved it as well. Probably too much - it one of the few job where you force people to listen to you. I loved being the center of attention a little too much. I think the day in Biology that I remember most was when we killed and disected a rabbit. I recall the ease at which Mr. Noble skinned it - ewww. And those portable classrooms... My hubby and I are going to attempt a 1/2 marthon next year. He's already done a couple, but I can't even imagine a full one - good for you. I think the training is the worst part - remember my legs are about half the length of yours!
