On August 29, 1990 a hopeful boy named Ricky Hooker(10) was born. Ricky is now 16 and on newspaper staff. Ricky’s real dream is to be a baseball player.  He has played baseball for 10 years.  He collects homerun baseballs, enjoys long walks on the beach and sitting behind home plate at big games.

When asked, Ricky responds, “I really don’t expect anything out of life.”  Ricky seems to be a really down to earth kind of guy. Though he was beaten up by an 18 year old because he had trespassed onto his territory when he was 15, Ricky is rather tough.

Ricky Hooker is a head banging type of guy.  He likes to listen to rock music, such as Afi, and Snow Patrol.

Ricky likes to drink Pepsi while being entertained by his favorite show, Blue Collar.

When I questioned Ricky what he would do if he didn’t succeed in fulfilling his dream of being a baseball player, he replied, “ If all else fails, II would like to be a journalist. I’m taking this class to better myself in writing for possible later references.”
