She shoots and she scores, she shoots and she scores again.  Shot after shot is being taken and every shot is made with a swish of the net.  Unfortunately the team to whom this deal with is not the lady minutemen.

On Saturday December 9, the girls basketball team was crushed by rivals Northridge Raiders. The girls gave a great effort but came up quite a bit short in the race for victory.

The first quarter consisted of several three point shots taken by the lady Raiders and every single one followed by a great cheer from the crowd. Through the first half the Minutemen kept up with the incredible endurance produced by Northridge. The first half was spent defending the net, with no chance of attacking the other side.

By the end of the first half, Concord was down by a good 15 points with no spirit at all and the lessening crowd did not help the esteem of the girls.

Third quarter began with the girls, despite the disappointment of the first half, looking hyped and ready to get the game under way. Third quarter was a come back for the lady minutemen, with the scoring as close as two points, Concord showed their true talent on the floor.

The fourth quarter began and all spirit was lost. The Raiders quickly discovered the weakness of their opponents, and struck hard against the Minutemen. Two of Concord’s best fouled out and had to take a seat on the bench to watch their teammates struggle to survive.  The end came just as horribly as was supposed, the final score about a 20 point lead from the Northridge Raiders.
