Lauren Fioritto is a senior on the 2006-2007 girls varsity basketball team, she has been playing for Concord since freshmen year.

“I love to play basketball, I can’t imagine doing anything else in the winter season,” Fioritto said.

Through her high school basetball experience, Lauren has experienced many different changes in the sport’s program.

“So much has changed since fresmen year, this year we are trying to work in a new coach,” Fioritto said. “It’s going pretty well.”

Over the years Lauren has had to say good-bye to many close senior friends from the basketball team, but has also welcomed many new players to the team.

“It’s hard to say farewell to the seniors every year, but but farewells are also followed by welcoming new comers,” Lauren said. “I love getting to know new people.”

Though this season has not presented to be a great one for girls varsity basketball, the girls are still in high spirits.

“We’ve had a pretty rough season, our plays on the court just aren’t cutting it,” Fioritto said. “But the chemistry off the court is better than ever.”

Basketball has been a huge part of Lauren’s life, but this will be her last year playing for CHS.

“I am sad to be leaving the basketball program at Concord, but college is going to be a blast and I may come back and watch the girls play sometime,” Fioritto said.
