The boys are struggling. The losses aren’t sacred cows any more, it’s much too obvious.
With four straight losses, the Minutmen Boys Basketball Team is struggling an uncanny amount. Morale at games is low, along with attendance, as the minutemen are losing games that statistically should be won by a large margin. Last Thursday held a 50-55 loss to Northridge, a team we tamed 65-48 in December during the Holiday Tournament. More disappointing, still, the Minutemen were beaten 69-77 by the Northwood Panthers who were stomped 70-48 in the Holiday Tournament. Dramatic thirty point differentials from past games are signs of dysfunctional team play.
In spite of the Minutemen’s seemingly uncouth performance, to last years fans it’s common place. Last year’s team had a similar four game loss streak, with losses to three of the same teams, Wawasee, Northridge and Northwood.
Though the minutemen are looking shabby at the moment, it can only be assumed that they will step it up at the end of the season due to past seasons and the mass of still loyal fans. Only time will tell.
