Girl’s basketball has come to an end of a stuggling season, and did not make it through the first sectional game. What a year the girls have had to endure, they’ve seen success, but, more often than not, a lot of loss and dissapointment.
“Yeah this year didn’t go exactly how I wanted, but it was still a good year, and I won’t forget it,” Aimee Dietz (12) said.
With a record of one and 17 the girls were not on top, but though they had a losing season they made the best of what they were given.
“Friendships were the greatest thing about this season, friendship means more to me than any record,” Lauren Fioritto (12) said.
The returning girls have already started to make goals for next season, building around what goals were already made for this season.
“I am already looking forward to next year, we’ll have a lot of good returning girls and I believe we can go out and have a decent season,” Tracey Swain (11) said.
The coaching staff is also reflecting on a hard fought season, but looking forward to a new start.
“We didn’t do as well as we wanted to this season, but we have learned a lot and are ready to use that knowledge for the next season,” Dan Meyers (Head Coach) said.
